With the usual mix of regular and new acts, we see Warmduscher, a Trashmouth Records collaboration with members of The Fat White Family – who played our 2013 Festival – and Paranoid London. Raucous, loud and wild, they are scheduled to play just before midnight.

There is an antifolk fest debut performance from Goat Girl, great dark sounds from a new band we first saw during a sojourn to Brixton. They recently played Field Day and Green Man.

Regular Antifolk performers, David Cronenberg’s Wife, appear with their dark and twisted songs, with subject matter ranging from subversive sex to runaway prams. They promise some DCW classics plus one or two from their fourth album which they are about to record.

The exile from Anglesey, Filthy Pedro returns for a first London performance in over a year with more degenerate and historical tales, while the foremost Antifolk artists of the North East of England make a debut– Hull’s leading skiffle folk group, Black Kes!

Another new act is Maija Sofia, originally from Gallway but this Antifolk gem has been making a name for herself in the North London scene that saw rise to the likes of Lucy’s Diary.

The first band of the evening, No Friendz, is the hot new things to come out of the Trashmouth Records stable – the May brothers – who have wowed us over the last few years with records from Fat White Family, Meatraffle, Pit Ponies to name only a few. No Friendz will be one to watch for the future so get down early!

The festival is opened and closed by Antifolk regulars Tim Tomlinson and Tojamura 7 (formerly The Bobby Fuller 5. Tim Tomlinson is a genuine one off, the most outsider folk artist we’ve ever seen, while Tojamura 7’s surf inspired sounds will soothe and excite as the night ends. Another antifolk regular, Spinmaster Plantpot is back with a 10-min blast of his off-the-wall a cappella tunes.

And let’s not forgot our host for the evening – Mr Patrick Lyons!
