Holmfirth Antifolk Festival 2014

Holmfirth hosts its first ever Antifolk Festival at Hot Banana Music on Sat 10th May. Famous for being the setting for the ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ TV program, the event coincides with the Holmfirth Festival of Folk. Here is the blurb:

“At the heart of the famous Holmfirth Festival of Folk this year will be the town’s first ever Antifolk Festival. Just round the corner from where Chas and Dave are headlining, the coolest and up and coming music may be found at Hot Banana Music on Saturday 10th May 2014. With artists as diverse as Ottersgear, Satteli, Anarchy in the Ukulele (pictured), Filthy Pedro, Robert Sharp, Poet & the Loops, Auntie Folk and Johnny Campbell this promises to be a belter of an Antifolk event.

Hosted by Martin Christie (Old Man Pie, Poet & the Loops), Steven Lostmarbles (Paper Town, Anarchy in the Ukulele) and Louise Curtis (Satteli) there will also be a fair share of chaos, spoken word and antipoetry.”

Starts at 6pm till late.
